Can you still grow organically on Facebook?

I’ve been testing Facebook lately and honestly, it feels a lot harder to grow without spending money. A few years back, organic reach on pages and groups was still decent, but now it seems almost non-existent unless you boost posts.

Has anyone here actually seen good organic growth recently — like without running ads or using paid promo? Are groups, reels, or personal profiles better for reach now? Or is Facebook really just a “pay to play” platform at this point?

Would love to hear what’s working (or not working) for you in 2025.

Find a website or source that tracks rising names, future stars, etc...

People who are likely to become successful in the coming years.

Look for up and coming athletes, actors, anyone who's young and not widely known yet.

Pick a few of them and create 10 pages with their names, one for each person.

Then, once a week, check in on those pages and post something relevant about them: news, updates, fan content, anything.

Now give it 2 to 3 weeks. You’ll likely see at least one of those pages grow fast, maybe even hit 10k followers.

That’s the power of early positioning.

From there, it’s up to you what you want to do with it, how you monetize it, and what direction you take. It all depends on your goals.

But first, just test it.

You might be surprised by how fast it can take off.
 
If you don't want to run ads, you have to be an extremely good content creator to attract viewers.
 
As you said, the interactions on Facebook have dropped a lot, the best way to increase this is to be consistent, if you have a page, try to share at least 10 posts a day, other than that, interact with FB ads.
 
Every social media is working if you are consistent , just find the best page on fb improve it and post daily .

I've tried some strategies on fb for a fashion page, marketing, tiktok page, etc. and honestly it's way harder to grow without putting money into ads. A few years ago, even though organic reach wasn't what it used to be, at least posts in pages and groups still reached some people. Now, no matter how much trendy content you post it feels like facebook straight-up ignores you unless you pay. With this new algorithm, I think you could try cheaper methods to grow. From my own experience, I pay a bit to get some traffic and give it a boost. Ever heard of minijobs? It's like hiring virtual assistants but way cheaper. I've used sproutgigs plus some trusted VAs the last few years and it's what keeps my content afloat at least for now. But yeah, right now you kinda have to invest (in my experience) and switch to reels content. In 2025, short form video content is what people are watching the most.

I think you should run ads to attract views. If you don't want to run ads, you can hire KOL to promote the content you want to share.
 
Facebook interactions has dropped a lot, way to increase this is to be consistent, try to share , and interact with FB ads.

Well Yeah, organic’s tougher than it used to be, but I’ve still been getting solid results without ads.


Reels are my goto right now!! FB’s pushing them hard. Had one hit 20k+ just by using trending audio + a clean loop.


I’ve also been using personal profiles more than pages. Created a niche persona, joined active groups, and started dropping value posts + subtle promo. Grew one account to 5k friends + followers in a couple months.


Groups still work too, but only if you "seed" them right. I faked early engagement with a few burner accounts and it helped FB boost the group faster.


It’s not plug & play anymore, but organic growth’s is different but still possible if you know how to work the system!!.
 
Very much possible. But little push initially with ads will reduce your work only. Like when you have some followers on page, it is obvious that you will get shares when you post good content on the page .

Totally agree a light ad push can save time. But with the right content and early engagement (even if it’s seeded!), organic can still scale well. I’ve seen pages grow without ad spend just takes more manual effort Time/Productivity in the beginning.
 
In fact, to operate and develop naturally, it is a very difficult problem. When running ads, you also need to be a very good content person to make your content attract viewers, then if you do not run ads, you need to be much better than that to be able to bring results.

I think you should run ads, if you don't want to run ads. you have to be a good content creator so that your content attracts many people.
 
You're right, Facebook's organic reach has dropped a lot, it's mostly pay to play now. That said, some people still see decent reach through Reels, personal profiles, and engaging in niche groups. Pages are tough without ads, but content that sparks interaction (comments,shares) can still perform. Timing, consistency, and cross posting from other platforms like IG helps a bit too. Still, organic growth is slow compared to a few years ago

To grow organically, you need excellent content skills, as running ads requires attracting viewers, and without ads, your content must be even stronger to achieve results.
 
yes, organic growth on FB is getting harder especially from 2025. Pages with less reach groups and reels seem better but you will also need to invest more in content
 
If your content isn’t getting interaction fast; likes, comments, shares, it basically gets buried. I’ve had posts die with zero reach just because the first hour was quiet. It’s kind of brutal.

Also, I’ve noticed engagement is way better when I post from mobile instead of desktop, and when I reply to comments right away. Might be coincidence, might be algorithm stuff… who knows. But the little things seem to matter
 
I use Facebook Stories with polls and engage in niche groups by giving value. Tagging friends naturally helps too.
 
If you build a page that grows naturally by manual work, you will get potential customers, they follow you because they are really interested in your content. However, the page will grow slowly, it may take you half a year or a whole year to attract viewers with a few hours of advertising.
So the best way for the page to grow stronger and maintain sustainability is to build a Facebook page manually at first to have a loyal customer base. Then run ads to increase viewership and the channel to grow rapidly.
