I think you can, but you shouldn't mention anywhere in the auction of the other name brand item that its mimicking, they may pull your auction.

That's ebay bread and butter..however don't say 100% authentic an don't say replcas in the auction and if someone send u a message asking if its authentic...ignor the messageand keep it moven.

You can try but I would not! I got sued by a major manufacturer a couple of years ago. It was BAD! They sued me for a million and settled out of court for 10K. Bout lost my marriage. Lost a lot of weight because I was so stressed. I would run the other way if I was you. Just my 2 cents (or should I say thousands of cents! )

you can if you like headaches and stress. dont say they are genuine or fake either way. if someone complains apologise as much as you can, suck them off with words, make them feel like you are a genuine seller and this one item has some how pollouted your genuine stock, you are ashamed! Now give them a full refund and pay their return postage...IMO this wil pay for itself. Also look for companies that arent signed up to vero. - research how to avoid vero best you can, dont be greedy and dont rely on ebay; have other places to sell. you will get banned in the end. I saw some tit who sold 3ks worth of fake ms office in a week, their account got pulled and they didnt see a penny of the cash.

hahah, god bless America.. in the UK you would get 3 weeks raking leaves in the park for such an offence - only because we have run out of prison space. fuck the authorities, make sure you have a backup or a good alibi. you need to make reasonable doubt, your wifi had shitty or no encryption, or you had trojans on your pc. or just make sure you sell your crap to morons who dont know the dif.. i.e most people.. how about using a vcc with someone's unsecured wifi to sign up with homopal/gaybay... not that i have ever done such things... if your in uk i know a vcc company that you can use to join paypal

Manufacturers dont want replicas of their products on ebay, so its not worth selling em. You could get sued if you are in the US, and banned from ebay if you aint.

Most of the times if you have like one auction ebay removes it and sends a warning.

IIRC you cant sell replicas, but you can sell style, so for example you wouldn't put "Replica Rolex Watch" instead you would put "Rolex STYLE watch"

Sell them under a fake alias and don't mention they are replicas or your items will get pulled quickly. You'll get away with some, others will get VERO'ed quick.

Okay so what if you don't do it on ebay. What if you do it some place else like craigslist or a classified website? Can you still get in a lot of trouble? I mean you guys are going on and on about ebay so...?

@AlphaBeta7 - Ok, let me tell you how you can get in trouble....and I am speaking form firsthand experience! Major companies have "undercover" employees that will buy your "replica" product that you are selling (on ebay, Craigslist, or wherever) and once they do, they have you. They won't inform you right away that they just caught you selling these items. You will hear a knock on your door someday and be handed and nice big manila envelope with a lawsuit against you. That happened to me and was the WORST experience in my life ever!

There are SO MANY ways to make money on the internet! Why do you feel like you have to do it this way? Can you get away with it for a while? Sure...but why risk it? RUN form selling this stuff! I hope you heed my advice and save yourself a bunch of heartache!

get hot item finder. Sell penis enlargment pills that are just vitamin c pills with a diffrent label on the bottle. Sell weight loss pills that are just vitamins. eBay is al about deception. Thats the only way to make a good buck, unles you have hot item finder and is not afraid to pay cash to a supplier in china you don't know in hopes to get a product you hope is legit. When you get lucky don't tell anyone.

There is about 3 product that i know of right now that are profitable on ebay and are not replicas or deceiving products. Don't ask because i won't tell you. the penis pills, and weight loss pills will make you money if you can't find anything else.

CVS, some sticky paper, and photoshop is all you need. Just make sure the shit you relabel is completely harmless. make sure you put in your ad that it contains whatever it is you relabel so that you don't sell someone vitamin c that is allergic to vitamin c. You can put something like this "contains extremely high levels of vitamin c, genkoba, monk root from asia, dog nut oils, and aloe seed butter to promote penis growth" now if you relabeled vitamin c pills your ass is covered no one with half a brain that knows they are allergic to vitamin c will purchase it and get sick.

You have just done what the penis pill manufactures have been doing for years, selling snake oil.

if you insist on selling replicas. Make sure your ISP is not in your name, post your auctions from a public wifi place, open a paypal and ebay account with a name and address out of the phonebook, open a new checking and savings with wamu or BOA. transfer it from the checking to the savings IMMEDIATELY to keep paypas hands from it when the ship sinks. Just don't have your name or address attached to shit. Take it from a man with an 8million dollar judgment on him for selling replicas. I still sell replicas to this day just not the popular obvious brands. STAY far away from replica electronics they are nothing but trouble you will loose your papal account FAST with those unless you clearly state its a replica and your selling it on your own personal website, that is not purchased under your name.

Just my 2 cents and I'm sure you'll all play the "newbie card" like crazy, but almost everything on eBay is in the "replica" category. To tell people on a black hat forum not to get in on the millions (actually billions--around $280 BILLION last time I checked) being made sounds at best extremely paranoid, and at worst a blatant attempt to keep their little paws out of your own highly lucrative honeypot.

All counterfeit or replica even really means is that the items were made from the EXACT same blueprint but, at different factories. The ladies will probably be familiar with the major shoe maker Steve Madden (ask you girlfriend--whether real or of the robotic variety :laugh2:--if you don't know.) Well, there is a little brand called Mossimo that they sell at Target for about 1/4 of the price and they actually come from the SAME factory--off of the conveyor belt and into to either bin #1 (for the suckas') and bin #2 (for the SUPER suckas'.) =)

I'm not saying that the people claiming to have been sued aren't telling the truth but, common sense is what's in order here, not complete avoidance of something that makes a LOT of people a LOT of money. Where's your Black Hat spirit?.

1. Only sell items form the Interent and NOT a physical, brick and mortar store. Some fancy shmancy boutique in the area I live in got busted a few years ago for selling fake Gucci purses and it was ALL over the news like they were making meth in the basement or something!

2. Don't have things shipped to your house--dropship only. Wouldn't want a house full of Addiddas (mis-spelled on purpose) shoes if the Feds DID decide to stop by.

3. Offshore hosting, merchant account, and bank account would definitely be a good idea. Don't leave your money in Paypal but, this is advised no matter what IMHO.

4. Don't say whether the item is or isn't a replica. For instance, if you're selling fake Ugg boots put the description as "NIB Women's Shearling Boots/short style." Let the pictures do the talking for you.

5. Have a back-up plan--ie: don't put all of your eggs in one basket, but again, always advisable and JUST COMMON SENSE.

I've been researching dropshipping extensively for the last few weeks and this is what I've come up with so far. Obviously I haven't gotten my hands dirty yet, but if I end up in the slammer I'll make sure and re-post!
