Can You Rank in Google Without Links?

Absolutely. My review website (just a few months old) doesn't have any backlinks. None at all. Still it ranks for a few competitive keywords. Most of them are popular Clickbank products that I've written a short review about.

I think you mean backlinks, did you? So, in this case is possible to rank but it's harder, mainly for big keywords.

Do you use any pay ad to promote your site? I still struggle getting massive traffic.

Not agreed. You can't take creating backlinks as black hat technique. It is a white hat technique if used wisely. A couple of high quality links from trusted websites helps in building trust and faith on your brand or business.

Since when is "deliberately-creating-backlinks-to-game-the-ranking-system" a white hat technique?

I didn't mentioned to create a huge number of backlinks, It was creating a few quality backlinks on niche websites. and It is nowhere considered as black hat.

Yes of course, you can rank the without getting links.Do On-Page optimization for your site, check with the meta and alt tags, meta description.Use high-quality content on your site try to avoid the thin contents on the site. And make sure that you are doing the social sharing and actively participating on that because those are the free platform to earn traffic for your sites. If you are doing these factors well your site will have an chance of getting Natural Backlinks.

Without the links it would be impossible to be ranking the website, it is the key to the optimization process.

Maybe not without ANY links unless for longtail and rarely searched terms. But even a few very powerful backlinks and some social signals will go a long way

Backlinks are the backbone of SEO. to get first page and traffic then you need to build backlinks.

Maybe for low competition keywords but why would you purposely not use backlinks?

If their is no content for such type of keywords then you can rank it, however it is for just few days untila site comes with backlinks.

It's all depends on niche or competitions coz authority matters everywhere. Actually there are white hat pools through which your authority used to flow. if your content is really awesome a very big 'yes' is in your favor. people always give credit to your site as a reference. so in simple words we can say 'YES'.

This depends on the niche. Selling affiliate products, probably not as some has already created a site on it, but there's still lots of soft search terms that are undeserved by content.

I’m surprised to see that there are still “SEO professionals” teaching others the publish and pray method – growing a blog by doing nothing but publishing content and ignoring link building altogether. They couldn’t be more incorrect.

First of all, if you’re not link building, are you even really an SEO? There are over 200 ranking factors and link building is still the #1 determining factor. If you do nothing else and ONLY focus on links, you have a better chance at building a high-traffic blog than if you were to do everything BUT link building.

Links move rankings, not just for an individual page but for all pages across your domain. You end up ranking for more long-tail keywords as a result of your domain authority increasing.

keep in mind that content is a big factor in ranking. If you have unique keyword rich content it can help your page rank out.
