Can you provide options for user to change the date format?

Since BHW members are from all across the world, it would be good if we had an option for changing the date format. I believe currently it is in the mm/dd/yyyy format. If this can be a user defined option to change it to something else let's say dd/mmm/yyyy, it would make my life much more convenient.
