I have some instagram profiles running and obviously all of the photos are just stolen from across the internet.

Is this doable on pinterest too or do you have to post OC?

To be honest I've never really spent any time on pinterest but apparently it's the place to be.

I'm no lawyer but do a lot of pinterest bottling and have never run into any issues. Worst case I've seen is Pinterest will receive a DMCA take down request and pull the pin... End of story.

Haven't heard of anything escalating past that point, but interested to hear if anyone else has experienced more elevated incidents.

You are safe until the copyright owner sees your PIN, and files a claim. Your account will be suspended, and you will be asked to remove all the contents that are considered as an infringement to the owner. We were reported for three times, and they told us that they are gonna close our account if there's a fourth report.

I suggest doing it while also having enough original content to keep your profile afloat.

Stolen content is cool and all, but you won't win you audience 100% over with just that.

I once got caught with photos on my laptop, they were not mine, I'm telling you the FBI planted them there.
