Can you, please, help me "understand" the Twitter algorithm for picking up tweets to show users?

Hello, I have a question and I need some insight, please.

We have a Twitter profile with approx. 20K followers. The problem is that only a fraction (my estimate is 2K - 4K) of those followers are interested in our tweets.

I would like to know if it's possible, that these good followers, interested in our communication, don't see the tweets when they browse the feed on Twitter because the majority of our followers are ignoring the tweet, there is no engagement from them (no likes, no RT, no comment).

If this is really the case, what would you suggest doing?

I mean we can't block 16K followers, right? That's insane. It would make more sense to start again with a new account...

I use Twitter to just see updates not really about to engage with posts all the time

If tjose accounts are not bots, and are all active (which I doubt), then that means you need to make better content. Twitter shows people tweets when the tweet is liked by four or five of the people the person is following or by the one who interacts mostly with him

It's a profile of the NFT collection, most of the followers are freebie hunters (giveaway hunters) from Asian countries, these guys don't give a damn about our project. These are not bots though. We are not botting.

How can you leverage this observation? "Better content" I know, just asking for some specific advice on how to get into as many social circles as possible.

That's exactly it Asian giveaways only serve as social proof

Sometimes even the net promoters, buy followers to put them on your account

if you want to engage followers I advise you to do spaces with influencers
