Hi, I need help ripping this site:

When I use the 'File > Save Page As' method the site is missing backgrounds in lots of frames.


I just need a quick way to rip all of this site so I can edit it and use it as a template, do you know how I could do it?

try importing it in frontpage.

If you use frontpage to start a new site and hit import via web link you can just enter the site address, should suck up the whole thing, unless it is database driven.

Agree about httracker. I've been using it for about ... oh, 6 years now? It's still just as good.

Only works with static sites though.

i used to use webzip which was pretty good, i haven't had the need to rip a whole site in a while though.

if it is databse driven you're gonna have some issues though as already mentioned

Use Wget for Windows (search "wget win32" on google) and use the -m (mirror) option in the command prompt.

Ex. wget.exe -m shop4freebies.com

This is the way I do it. It's free, and quick. Enjoy.

I'm looking for httrack, however their .com is down as I have a site I have subscribed to with audio/video where my free trial ends on the 24th. Has anyone got a copy? Or is there anything else?

You can use opera web browser and use file, save as html with images, it works great.
I just saved it to my hard drive to be sure, and it works.

is there guides to httracker.
because I get firefox documents,
how can I start and rip a site.

with rip, I mean everything on the site, how it's made, so I can customize it.
and use it for myself
