Can you get into trouble with Craiglist scrapers?

ATTN TO MODS: I'm not asking for any spam/illegal/hacking tools.

I've been reading a lot about how these scrapers is actually just spamming tools.

Craigslist says that you cannot send emails to people about emailing them with your products or services.

I'm just worried about breaking the can-spam.

Have any of you guys ever gotten into trouble with these scraping tools?

Also, what's the best kind of offers to email people?

Definitely don't want to scrape and mail CL. Big Trouble. No money in it. :slap:
 
just mail it.. who cares.lol ur not gonna go down for sending 10k emails/day.. people who go down send 10million
 
That's cool if I won't get into trouble for sending 10k. I guess it's like staying under the radar

Does anyone anymore opinions? I'd really love to hear them, especially from you vets of this forum.

Harvesting E-mails is fully legal until you start to mail them. And you're very wrong to think that you'll have nothing to worry about if you only send 10k mails a day. You'll be the one who can't afford a good lawyer and who will get everything you own taken away from you if caught. All for what a few bucks a day? There is a reason that most spammers are foreign, there is better money to be had if you're US based.
 
Termsb is correct, that's considered unsolicited spam and you can get in trouble for it if push comes to shove. A lot of people scrape CL for email addresses, some make a lot of money and some don't.

But to stay under the radar, people try to make scraping and sending emails as relavent as possible. For example, they scrape emails pertaining to a product people are looking for such iphones. Once found, then they send emails with their offer.

I wouldn't recommend doing this with a US based host. You'll be canned before you even get started by the host and affiliate or CPA company.

If you do decide to do this then you should do your homework first. Learn how to stay under the radar.

what about ewhoring guys in the causal sections.. i didnt think it was blatant spam since they posted LOOKING for girls... what do you guys think
 
yeah ive been thinking.. might be better to stay under the radar....

by the way all you guys using proxies, your sponsor still has all your info. i guess if CU goes down you can claim you sent legit traffic..

You can scrape CL and mail, as long as you cover your tracks. We don't mail a ton, about 50k per week and we generate a good income by scraping and mailing unique addresses on CL.

There are plenty of ways to do this anonymously. Bottom line is, if you're harvesting CL and mailing, you're spamming. If you're not comfortable with spamming, don't do it.

im also interested.. can you give ways of doing this anonymously with no LINK at all?

I always figured the govt just went for the money... Like if they want to find you they'll go to your sponsor,etc.. basically find out who/what you are making money with and then find you that way..

but i personally dont think it draws a lot of heat.. CL mailing that is...

I agree with you as long as you get a woman to press the start button on EZAR or your autoresponder TECHNICALLY you're not spamming.

Any women here willing to hit the start button ;)

I hope I'll be able to stay under the radar.. I'm sending out like 20 a day... lol
manually... after that i get so sick of copying and pasting i do something else...

Since SCRAPING is spamming, is RESPONDING to individual ads spamming too??

Like if their ad says : "im looking for anal sex" and i email back "wow love anal and getting my ass played with,. it makes me so wet! if u want to meet up verify here" , is that "spamming" too??? If i just respond to their ad??

He's def right - it's like crack dealers - mostly the big ones go down unless your really stupid.
 
clickbank will first warn you and then terming you for emailing craigslist posters.
 
I was scanning CL earlier today and I saw a lot of posts that got removed. Seems like they're really trying to crack down hard on IM's using their pages. Of course there's plenty others. It was probably inevitable that CL would get over-saturated before long.
