I am a beginner in studying PBN and tracking backlinks for my site.

While searching on the goddady auction site to purchase a PBN, I came across the 'csokidskorner.com' domain.

After searching, I thought the domain was young and I couldn't find any high-impact backlinks.

However, the domain was sold for $2,325 and many people participated.

We have noticed that the domain is currently redirecting to a casino slots site.

Do you know why this domain is so highly rated?

It doesn't make sense with my limited insight.

Ahrefs just shows a bunch of useless links from various spammy websites/pages,
Semrush is showing 2500+ RDs, but most of them seem to be casino links that have been created recently (post-October, 2024),
Seems like another worthless domain oversold for the sake of some organic traffic to use for casino spam, totally worthless

This domain worth no more than the regular price.

++Name is stupid..

Don't give much attention to domain marketplaces. They are manipulated.. same person or group are bidding and buying their own domains.

;)

Yes, thank you for your reply. The last time I saw it for auction was in October. While looking at the bid details, I saw that it was sold at a higher price than I expected, so I was curious and asked a question.

Yes, I understand,
Don't get influenced by the bid prices on auctions, many of them are oversold for x2-10+ of their actual worth,
Some people involved in scam/bh niches like casino/gambling are making a very high ROI that wouldn't care less for the price,
Some others are driven & bidding blindly for the sake of useless metrics like DA/DR/RDs, etc...
As well as many others trying to manipulate the prices as @CyberHour mentioned

It was a great help. Thank you + thanks to @CyberHour too.

You're looking at the wrong parts like a rookie.
This domain is really very strong. It has a very powerful ranking and weight.
It will instantly transfer rankings to new pages and until it is detected and banned by Google, will bring tens of thousands of dollars to the owner.
Backlinks you should look in the very last place when searching for an obsolete domain, and then, just to find out the level of link spam, but not the ranking of the domain.

Does this mean that we should look at it from the perspective of being able to get traffic using 301 redirects rather than from the perspective of forwarding the link address?

If you look at semrush's history, you can see that there was very little organic traffic and quite a lot of traffic came from paid traffic.

Could sending backlinks with targeted anchor text to this domain after the 301 link positively impact your target keyword rankings and increase traffic?

I'm a beginner and I don't know why you said it's so powerful. Could you please explain in detail?

No, the presence or absence of traffic on an obsolete domain after recovery, cannot be checked before purchase.
You can estimate the ranking and weight within Google, and understand how much traffic your site can get when it gets the weight of this obsolete domain.
You only plan traffic on your site, and this obsolete domain gives it the weight to realize those plans.

Yeah, that's what it's for. And the texts on its pages and links give weight. Depends on what you use it for. You need it for a long promotion, so that it can long transfer link weight and ranking, for these purposes, it is not worth the money. There are cheaper sites that will absolutely also transfer the same weight for a long time. This site price explosive text ranking, all texts and snipets on it will immediately rank in the top 10, most can get into featured snipet and other top modules. That is what he price for casinos, they will get a lot of money from it, but it will not live long.

Basically it's an overpriced website.

As a beginner, I was only approaching it from a link juice perspective.

But I realized I had to approach this problem from two perspectives: link juice and traffic.

And over the past few years, I've seen domains that used to get a million traffic a month but are no longer receiving traffic and are selling for high prices.

Even if the period of high traffic was short-lived, can I easily improve my Google search ranking when using 301 links if I have such past records?

Domains like this often get their value inflated because of spammy backlink tricks, especially in niches like casino or gambling. Always analyse the backlink quality, domain history, and relevance to your goals before considering such domains.

From what I can see, this domain is overpriced for two main reasons:

1. Price manipulation - Common in domain auctions where the same groups bid up their own domains
2. Casino/gambling operators often overpay because their ROI is high enough to justify inflated prices

The domain itself has no special value - the backlinks are mostly recent spam and there's little traffic history. I'd avoid it and look for domains with:

- Genuine aged backlinks from reputable sites
- Clean history without spam
- Relevant niche to your target site

Don't let auction prices cloud your judgment.
