Can you edit other people’s posts as a mod?

Exactly what the title says.
Let’s say the subreddit moderator gives me mod permissions too. Can I edit other people’s posts? Will the mods or OP get notified?

I’m trying to be sneaky and add my aff link in a very popular guide in a subreddit.

They know that it can be misused in many ways and thus do not allow this option.

If they catch you they will remove the link.

Were you worried they are black hatters and they might replace your link with their own?

Make your own post, contribute something useful to the subreddit so it gets popular, and then you can edit it since it's yours and add your affiliate links when it gets popular.

I had a different strategy to get exposure to my link, but I was really curious if there was an easier way.

When something is too good to be true, it almost certainly is

I wasn’t worried by blackhaters, as my original plan was a bit different, but it’s always useful to know what is possible and what not.

I had countless of great guides deleted by mods for no reason in some 100k+ subs.
95% of them are aware of every trick you can come up with, so they delete your posts when they get too much traction.

There’s a whole reddit mafia out there, and they don’t care if your post is really contributing to the community or not. If they realise you can bank hard, they will try to stop you beforehand.

You’ve got to be really smart when you play with the big fish.
I’m testing a new thing now to try and screw these reddit mafiots up. I may even start a journey if people are interested.

Of course not.. That would be a really big problem. Mod shouldnt have that much power. Changing content could go to so many places. I think it is safe to mods dont have the right to change content
