Hey, just curious if there is a plugin that allows you to do this for specific category pages? Here is my issue, the keywords that I am targetting all have a specific word tied to the phrase, like "heaters". This was giving me an over optimization penalty for my homepage, so I used all in one seo to rewrite the titles for the categories (I have a silo structure so I'm using the category pages). I also did this because short "electric heaters" look a million times better than "guide to purchasing red heaters".

The problem is that the h1 tag for that page looks like garbage, and I have a category that isn't about "heaters" that now says heaters.

So, is there a plugin or some simple code tweak that removes the default h1 tag copy of the title, and also something which allows you to rewrite individual category titles?

    Thanks!

Yes you could chose not to append the word for a specific category, or to only append it for a specific category with creating a custom field/check box to tick in the post editor if the word should show or not.
Or create another template to use. Hard to give you a finish code solution as I have no idea how your code looks like.

Assuming you're using wordpress, most themes give you the option to either show or hide the page title as H1.
