can wordpress export files contian corrupt (obfuscated code?) data?

So it turns out my whole hosting is riddled with obfuscated code on all my sites.

gonna have to wipe.

i have wordpress exports of the posts but im told by my hosting that the infection started from january and i made the backups after that.

can the wordpress exports also contain contaminated data?

Yup they will!! Do you really want the content? You could pull each page off the db and see if they are infected -- be a pain but if they are clean, then delete the site and reinstall from scratch and add posts back. Done it a couple times for some friends.

Also try some of the wp plugins like theme authenticity checker to see how badly your site is infected.

well its only the psts i want but i paid for teh content and its adsesne sites so tehres no way im eitehr writing any more posts or paying for new content. i could just copy and paste the poasts form teh pages and into notepad tho couldnt i cos it would only be the text then and past them back to the the new sites.

hmm jsut ran a check with TAC, it seems its only one piece of code the same code copied all the way thru my themes. in this case i could just do a search and replace on all files couldnt i? what was the plugin for that, i forgot.
