Can we still use Google Grants the blackhat way?

You think like that thing on your DP. Small things please small minds ;)

Easy there homie, we just are having a discussion. No need to start throwing around insults.

If you are a non-profit, you can take advantage of a Google Adwords Grant. You can apply, doesn't mean you will get it. You obviously need to be a legitimate non-profit.

Agree, independent on the conversation of morality, the probability of you successfully pulling this off and maintaining it over a long run is really low. I am sure they check the keywords your targeting and your site's content.

Nobody is stealing anything for charities you got this all wrong..

So... I hear what you saying. It's not like the money is being taken out of the bank accounts of charities. And at $25B in net revenue for Adwords and Search related advertising, Google isn't gonna miss a few thousand dollars. And a lot of Google's practices are shady.

My two follow up points are would be.. 1) Just because a player in a game cheats, doesn't give you a free pass to start cheating as well. Personal ethics are independent of the actions of other individuals. You do what you do because you feel it's right, not because what others are doing.

2) Would you feel the same if we were talking about the same overall idea but in a different circumstance. For instance, if there was a government sponsored food program, and though I had money I still took the free food that was meant for people who couldn't afford it. Or what if it was medicine.

Ultimately I think it's a question of defining your set of moral boundaries. I'm personally ok with hustling G for search rankings. But I'm not really ok with taking advantage of program designed to help non-profits, espicially if such an action would propel G to remove that service.
