Can we rank on Google without backlinks?

You can rank and get traffic within the first week itself without back links with the right niche

I’ve tested this multiple times over the years, and the answer is no. No matter how good your content and technical SEO are, you won't achieve a high ranking without natural, high-quality backlinks.
 
You can rank with just content and on-page SEO, but mostly in low-competition areas. It can get you started and bring some traffic, but after a point, things slow down. If you want to grow further and compete on tougher keywords, backlinks become necessary.
 
It can be done but the site should be having fully organized HTML tags and totally SEO optimized content and ofcourse the site should be indexed. In low competition niche it will be little easier. and site should be designed well so the visitor stay on the site

you can definitely rank without backlinks if you are only going after super low volume long-tail keywords and building massive topical authority, but let's be real, any keyword that actually makes money and has high buyer intent is going to require link juice to hit page one. relying purely on content and on-page seo is a good start to get out of the google sandbox, but you will eventually hit a hard traffic ceiling where competitors just out-muscle you with high dr backlinks.

Yes, you can rank sometimes with just good content and on-page SEO, especially for low competition keywords. But for bigger keywords or competitive niches, backlinks really help a lot. Content is most important, but links still give more trust and authority to Google. So start with content, but later try to get some links too.
 
rankin on google with zero backlinks is definitely a grind, but totally possible if ur content is actually "best in class." if u match search intent better than everyone else, google's algorithm will eventually notice.. but it takes way longer. for a fresh site, just nail ur on-page and focus on "low-hanging fruit" keywords where the competition is lazy. honestly, content gets u in the game but a few solid links are what usually pushes u to page 1.

It is possible, particularly by targeting low-competition, long-tail keywords and establishing deep topical authority through high-quality content. However, for highly competitive terms, you will likely eventually need at least a few high-quality external votes (backlinks) to outrank established sites.
 
I've seen many of my friends follow this method and it's perfectly feasible if you choose low competition keywords. High quality content will help retain users and naturally increase your website's credibility. However, with difficult keywords, a lack of backlinks will cost you significantly more time than your competitors. My advice is to focus on content first once you have organic traffic, backlinks will naturally find you

As a beginner, I think it’s possible to rank without backlinks, but only for low competition keywords. In my experience, good content and on-page SEO can help a bit, but backlinks still make things much easier.
 
I couldn't find a single website without a ton of backlinks for a high competition keyword but can find a lot of high authority sites for low competition keywords. So, backlinks not only matter but are extremely important for SEO.

only on page SEO doesnt help ,you need backlinks from a high DA,DR websites to rank on google

I would say yes it's possible with good on page seo, cluster building and internal linking, also when using an emd domain I noticed worked

It’s definitely possible, as long as your website has truly high-quality content that’s attractive enough for people to find on their own. With consistently updated content and stable traffic, your keywords will rank over time.
