Can We Get Ban From Other Users

I have been getting followers by mass follow and unfollow. I haven't got any negative comments back from people I unfollowed, until now. This one person comment why I keep following him and then unfollow. I don't know how many times I have been hitting this person since I random choice an account and follow all their followers. He just left that comment and blocked me.

Can he report this to Instagram about my behavior and get my account ban?

If many users report you, you can get ban if your account has illegal content

What do you mean by illegal? Technically any picture which was not taken by you is illegal. Or am I mistaken?
 
one report won't get you banned, but if you do this to a lot of people and they get mad too, it's possible

you'd need a proper bot which doesn't follow users who were unfollowed before
 
I am not using a bot. It's all by hand to be exact.

If many user report against you, you will get banned.

not sure if i got you, this doesn't make too much sense :)

but if you use a bot, that's not a good one, this should be the default setting for any bot

Oops. I meant to say I am not using a bot.

They'll review your account and if for example you have nude pics, or pics from famous people or anything like that you'll get banned.

Oh, I see. But what about just pics of not famous people? Or pictures of cars for example? Is it possible to get ban for that?

I don't think you'll get banned if you're account just look normal
 
@OP, even if you have legit pics you can still get banned if you're spaming your way to get followers.

If you're using follow liker, you can black list that user so you don't ever follow, comment, like and scrape their pics ever again.
 
It was just stroke of luck I hit his account multiple times when I was manually mass following. I don't use a bot to follow people. Wished I had remembered his account name so if I do get a bot I can blacklist accounts.
