Hi
I have a fad of testing new scripts, like CDN, changing cache plugins and often trying mix & match.

I find whenever I try something, my site goes down (only later to find, the server was down). This time I was working on subdomain CDN and there was a misconfiguration. Suddenly I saw "Error establishing database connection". In cPanel, when tried to manage database, it said "The database server is currently offline"

My question is, can it be from my side? This type of site disruption is third in June.

This have nothing to do with you configuring a cdn subdomain 99.9999% of the times if you only did just that.

Thanks. This means my hosting is not professional. Anyone know a reliable Indian hosting? My clients are only from India, and hosting elsewhere brings in latency

It does not have to mean that, even the most expensive hosting companies have problems some times. But sure, if you paid $5 a year it could mean that they may not have as good system and support as normal webhosts have.

I paid roughly 2633/- for a year, thinking it to be above average hosting.

You can consider getting a server through Vultr and hosting your site there.
As far as I know, they have a data center in India.

As per the price you mentioned, I think you purchased from Hostinger

Not needing many resources, one domain for basic website, one for trial-and-error, 5Gb space. It is okay.
Well, since I am not from India or that part of the world I have no clue on what hosting is good down there. Sorry.
