Can This Go Viral

Hey everyone, I've been trying to get things going on youtube and it's been a slow process. Today, I redid a current song, fairly creatively using only my voice. Am I wasting my time? It seems so hard to get views. here is the video

Get this on reddit,dig etc and it will go viral, very creative man.

That is really creative and original (I've never seen a video like it on Youtube anyway) and with the right promotion could easily get noticed and become viral.

thanks, I've tried dig in the past and things seem to get buried. I've just posted to reddit. It seems if things don't get picked up by a known blog, it's hard to get noticed on youtube

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. I've been doing everthing from facebook/twitter and a few forums. I just uploaded the video. From past experiences, I think I would have to luck out and rank for a strong keyword to get the ball rolling.

Any ideas/advice is greatly appreciated

maybe try and contacting someone who's already popular like http://www.raywj.com/ but i heard he's rather cocky haha.

I don't mean to poo in your shoe, but this has been done a lot. This guy is the best and most popular. 13 million views.

Depends on what the guy it trying to do with the video.

Those guys at pbpproductions have full commercial backing, and anyone can have great exposure with huge financial backing.

But they are rather good though.

there are many people doing similar things, but each with their own style. I think I am made for music (I have not had a hit song, but I'm on a latin grammy nominated album and have worked with seal/trevor horn. I've been in the business many years but just things haven't clicked (right time, right place sort of thing)

for anyone that might be curious, here's another video that I did (I actually contacted the guiness book of world records and I'm awaiting a response). For your speed song creation, I would just fast forward through the creation process and change the vid into a 3-4 min (or shorter) video and play the final song at the end. Then offer a link to the full length to prove what you did, most people don't want to spend 20 mins watching a youtube vid. Its nearly impossible to have a viral video at 20 mins. Hope it helps,

thanks. for that video I was thinking originally to speed everything up but showing the clock, but i decided to keep everything real time for the doubters on youtube, lol
