Can this be salvagable?

Hello SEOs. I just came across this domain which is available and I'd really like your input. I am thinking of getting it and rebuild it. Do y'all think its a worthy shot? The domain is cheap (less than $100)

was penalized for sure. check archive and see if they spammed hardcore. if not then maybe you have something to build on it.

I've seen it and its pretty solid. It wasn't hacked. Do you think its worth the shot? It have over 3k pages

if is not expensive, yes, go for it. nothing to lose, you gonna learn no matter the outcome.

hard to say from that screenshot. The traffic going down over months doesn't indicate normal (algo-related) penalty, even though it could still be one. But it could also be a trendy niche in which the traffic only checks in during those months in your screenshot when the traffic peaked and then dying down for the rest of the year. It could genuinely be either of these...

Just check the domain into WBM for content / niche relevancy, also check the backlink profile (hopefully you won't see lots of porn / viagra / gambling / political anchors ), also check the history of drops (how many times the domain was dropped / changed ownership).

All of these details - when taken together - can paint a clear picture of whether the domain is still valuable... And, at the end of the day, paying $100 for a domain that seems good at a first (superficial) glance is not too big of a risk. I've wasted 1000s more than this gambling and betting for 25 years, so I would definitely bite the bullet if I wasn't sure
