Is it possible to display a different theme to visitors based on the Referrer.

For example,

Theme A to Direct Traffic and Theme B to Search Engine/Referred Traffic ?

Yes... I've seen it done before... But a word of advice would be to steer clear... Google SERP raters are trained to pick these things out, and we flag them as spam... You might trick the algos... But eventually you'll be had... :3

Seriously - who are you?

How much do you cost?

Yes it is possible but it is called cloaking and is against Google's TOS so if they catch you they penalize you.

To do ti you check the $_SERVER['HTTP_REFERER'] variable and based on it you switch the theme. There are some WP plugins to switch themes so you can look at the code and adapt.

The thing is i want to test the Slick theme, my site is one page one dancing between #6 and #8 for a very tough keyword, few days back I changed the theme to slick and suddenly saw a drop in traffic and ranking, when I reverted it, things got back to normal. So I wanna test it out first before taking the plunge again. Is it possible?

For the love of God! I've been practically BEGGING the big guys over here to JV with me... But everyone is too dang busy or skeptical... Honestly people?! This is a pretty big claim to BS don'tcha' think? :p

Layout plays a role in your overall Page Quality score from a Rater point of view, and the coding of the two themes might be in a way which makes the Algos prefer one over the other. So you've got those to factors two consider. :3

It is a big claim, and I see you putting it ou there a lot with not much backing you up, so I see where your skeptics are coming from.

Truth be told... I'm pretty close to leaving them cold turkey... the pay isn't exactly fantastic... But all of the documentation is well within my possession... If those people (the JV folks I've tried to partner up with) would just take a moment to think: I'M the one who has everything to lose... If I just provide proofs without any guarantee on their part and they use that info for first placement... I've lost everything... Can you see where I'm going with this?

What jv do you want? ( sorry i don't know your threads) send me over a pm and maybe we can play together somehow.

So isn't there any way I can split test the themes without messing with the G Bots ?

Age old dilemma dude. Why would you need to JV if you had the master key to first place rankings that you seem to think is not already understood by the masterminds in SEO here. I was kidding about the JV lol, dont get your hopes up. And Yes, you just won another skeptic, congratulations.

Good question... I'll answer, through another question... "What good is knowledge if you don't know how to market it? If you don't know how to monetize it?"

Another thing... I need someone to cover me... If I released the product in my name... I could get in SERIOUS trouble... (Even though I plan on giving out indirect advice instead of straight out metrics, 'cept to my buddy o' course...)

Yet another thing, I'm the one who's in the line of fire from all directions. Google has me in their sights (even if I DO leave them)... If my partner were to betray my trust, I'D be the one to take the heat... Technically I'M the one who has everything to lose... All my partner would do would make the product pretty, and tell people about it...

Last, you're still pretty new here bro... You still don't have that much history (even if you ARE older than me here in terms of history)... I'm sure you can tell I can't just accept anybody... No offense...

Bro... You can mess with the G Bots just fine... It's not those I'm telling you to worry about... It's the rating folks... :3
