I was wondering - what if you have website that has amazing design, quality content, fast loading speed, and all of that stuff that is about user experience. Traffic mainly comes from Google, referral and social media and not through word of mouth. Except the website name is practically unpronounceable, has no meaning whatsoever, and just strange in general. Would it cause problems? Has anybody had some experience where the earnings were dramatically lower just because the domain name was like that?

if its something like ejkrp23042.com obviously it will lower the sales but something more like krooty, bendix or any random brand name that is catchy, people wouldn't mind it, as long as it's non spammy looking.

It is like you are advertising a product and you should name it to something that people can easily remember. When you have a weird domain name, it can affect the first impression of the customer. Might as well not risk having a weird domain name if you want to have the interest of people :)

I agree with the above. Why would you have an unrecognisable or unreadable domain, to me it doesn't make sense and would look spamming. If you trying to build something you need the domain name to be memorable, which also runs well with the idea of it being catchy and as short as possible.

Yes it can potentially lower earnings, I would use a nice looking name.

Not really as long as the url contains the niche's kw
