Can spam score kill website ?

I have encountered a similar issue in the past, and currently, my website's SS score has dropped to 1, whereas it was initially at 51 when I set up that site.

A 5% spam score is generally considered acceptable.

To improve your website’s spam score, you can focus on the following strategies:

Quality link building: Acquire high-quality backlinks from reputable websites.

Content optimization: Ensure your website’s content is original, relevant, and valuable to users.

Regular monitoring: Continuously review your website for any suspicious or low-quality links and take appropriate action.

5% spam will not you website bro, you need improve content quality and backlink quality.

5% spam is nothing to do with your traffic ... but be conscious for future

That won't be a problem. Until you get any warning messages from the webmaster, or if you think so, you can find and disavow the spammy links.

As per my research and knowledge that I have gathered from different sources Fortunately, the 5% of spam score does not affect google ranking directly

If you want to reduce these spam score, improve the quality of the backlinks.

What's the solution for a 5% spam score and can it affect the traffic?
Do not worry.

Spam score is a third party metric that doesn't have anything to do with Google. And 5% is absolutely nothing.

Oftentimes it increases without any fault of yours (when people link to your site with spammy sites). Google knows this and handles the spammy links by ignoring them. So all you have to do now is, focus on good quality content creation, building quality backlinks and forget about SS.

I have stopped worrying about it in my case.

They say Spam Score can be fixed with Onpage changes also.

For example having no privacy policy or proper contact page also increases Spam Score of that website.

The Spam score reminds you there are some unwanted things on your site, Like poor-quality backlinks, Content, or Cross Niche management etc...

So it's not necessary to hate your site, Just find the issue and sort it out, also the 5% won't kill your site immediately.

I have one website that is affected with a spam score of almost 5%, but now I try to disavow the domain that spams the website.

A 5% spam score is a moderate level of concern, but it's not extremely high. To address it: Disavow spammy backlinks, improve content quality and technical SEO, monitor traffic, and user experience. Build high-quality backlinks and follow Google's guidelines for sustainable improvements.

A 5% spam score is generally low and shouldn't have a major impact on traffic. To improve it further, disavow spammy backlinks, focus on quality content, and adhere to SEO best practices.

5% spam is nothing and I have recently seen a website with 50% spam score and has traffic over 300K per month and increasing.
