Instagram is starting to act like Facebook limiting your reach in order to make you pay for ads.
Lots of people are complaining about low engagement now a days.
It also could be you're targeting the wrong people with your follow/unfollows.

Yes it happend too frequently I have a 37k no bot no follow unfollow. I've been building for 3 years its cars related. and I used to get 1400-1500 likes and now I reach around 900-1050 likes each post. can you tell me why ?

It also has to do with the fact that there's a massive like block going on with all the botters and some of the non-botters.
It causes less likes spreading across Instagram.
Every one is affected by this problem, both botters and the ones that used to receive the likes...
