Can someone help?

Hello everyone

I just purchased a domain from godaddy yesterday. It was not purchased through the godaddy auctions - I searched for a new domain and it was available and I bought it at the usual price.

However today I did a whois search and have seen that this domain is in fact 7 years old and has 1 drop. I thought that this was a completely new domain so now I am confused. I intend to use this domain for business purposes and slowly increasing my rank on google is very important - now I am worried that this domain could have previously been used for spammy reasons or may have negative seo penalties attached to it - is there anyway I can find this out?

first of all, aquaticgamer is right, post your question once in the appropriate place
as for your question, more chances you earned more than what you paid for, and not less. But check this domain with some penalty checker tools and wayback machines (just google it) to see if it was previously penalized, and search for backlinks to this domain to check their amount and quality.
