i tried cybersyn and tried every setting, i get one pic in the post and it just links to the original page, like every other plugin ive tried

There is "Post thumbnail" drop box in https://wordpress.org/plugins/cybersyn/ settings (https://s.w.org/plugins/cybersyn/screenshot-1.png). You have to select there: "Generate from the first post image", "Generate from the last post image" or "Generate from media attachment thumbnail" and the plugin will create the post thumbnails automatically.
Here is an example of a demo blog with post thumbnails which imports video posts from the IGN RSS feed on autopilot: http://www.cyberseo.net/demo/magazine-style/

No plugin is 100% successful at this, but I've had the best luck with WPematico & the thumbnail scraper. Not free, though.

Try this...load around 50 images into Media
Then intsall "Auto Post Thumbnail" plugin then select those 50 images...
Thats is all 50 images will be rotated as Thumbnail

As with everything else posted on this site - all IMO. I've yet to find a wordpress plugin that would scrape a thumbnail 100% of the time.
Beyond just scraping a thumbnail - if OP is doing this entirely on autopilot - is the thumbnail appropriate? Sure, it may scrape "something" - but is a site's Facebook OG image or Twitter card the image you want to be using on your post?
If you know of a plugin that will provide a relevant thumbnail 100% of the time, I'd like to know about it. Seriously.

I've posted the link just above. It generates thumbnails from RSS/Atom feeds in 100 cases of 100. Course those feeds have to have the images somewhere: embedded into HTML or as media attachments/thumbnails.

That's very simple. The attachments in your feed have a size of 88x88px. They are too small to be used as featured images. Go to Settings->Media in your WP control panel and you will see that the smallest allowed thumb must be at least 150x150px. WordPress can't crop a 88x88 image to a 150x150 one.
So that's not a limitation of CyberSyn. That's a limitation of the particular feed with such microscopic image attachments.
BTW, there is a 100% working solution for the feeds like that. The plugin will extract all the images from every gallery in the feed,upload them to your WP site and add to the Media Library, crop the thumbnails, generate the galleries and make featured images using the full-sized gallery images instead of those tiny 88x88 attachments - everything on autopilot. It also works with tube content and cam site embeds, but it's a premium plugin...

ive had my media set to 180 x 180 the whole time, i get the featured images, why arent i getting a gallery of 30 thumbnails in any post but just some link to their sites

Because the CyberSyn plugin can't import the whole galleries (download the full-sized images, crop the thumbnails etc). Only premium plugins like http://www.cyberseo.net/gallery-magic/ (works with CSV/text dumps only) and http://www.cyberseo.net/cyberseo-plugin/ (works with RSS, XML, JSON and CSV/text dumps) are able to do such a trick.

Yes I did recommended it to "Get Thumbnails On For Autoblog" (note the thread title), but nothing else. I didn't recommend it as a gallery builder/importer, as a tube engine or as a cam site platform. There are special premium plugins for those purposes.

Doesn't my freeware CyberSyn plugin fit into it? There are many adult feeds with images (both embedded and attached ones) and CyberSyn works just fine with them.
