I have a channel where I am taking 30-second clips from videos, removing the audio, putting a voiceover the clips, and then combining them with transitions. I noticed that most sports-related videos end up resulting in copyright claims from YouTube detecting the copyright from other videos. Does anyone have a method to avoid this? To clarify, it's the actual video, not audio. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it difficult to get a direct permission, then the clip should look entirely different from the original clip. Add substantial original commentary, and analysis to the original clips.

It's not easy to get the permission but you can try A filter on YT called Common Creative' from there you can find some content with no copyright issue at all.But at the end you need to play safe.
