Can someone guide me on the best workflow for posting articles on my website?

My current strategy is - I am targeting low competition keywords provided by SEMrush. Even if the search volume is low.

I have an excel for that. Now this is what I generally do, so please guide what should I change, to make it more fast AND more effective -

1. I only check the keyword difficulty score, what other metrics should I check? I am confused

2. After that I google the keyword. Open the top 5 results, and see the H1, H2, H3 and make a basic outline of what I should include.

3. From a free tool like Ultimate Keyword Hunter (you have to download it) I check the average number of keywords of search results, make a list of keywords that occur most, so that I can use them in my article as well.

4. I don't write my article. I just use Quillbot premium using cookies method, so its free. I take parts and bits of several outlines headings from top ranking articles, mix them and use quillbot to rephrase it.

5. After that I insert keywords that I get from Ultimate Keyword Hunter in the article.

6. I then read article and change parts that sound too technical, and bot like. And put it through Grammarly premium (again through cookie method) so its free basically.

7. I then put the article through a plagiarism checker. I use the tool searchenginereports . net which is free upto 1500 word per session. I rely on it.

8. Optimize images, alt text, and things like On-Page SEO focusing on keyword proximity, prominence etc.

9. Publish!

Any suggestions will be nice. @Sartre @Kikerinka

Keyword Difficulty at Ahrefs and Semrush are pretty bad metrics.

I would just get a list of keywords and look at the SERPs manually and trust your gut, unless you can code and automate this.

Like do you also see Domain Authority of top ranking pages, and find like a weak DA website that is ranking? Is that a signal that we can rank easier?

I second this. Tools can give you some picture, but without manually looking and the SERP you cannot really know.

To your question OP: When it comes to system and process, I think you are pretty much set up here. You have clear steps, tools you use, and everything.

You are asking "to make it more fast AND more effective"--not sure how much time a single article takes you to publish? Maybe it is fast enough already :D.

In terms of effectiveness, this is a tricky word. Because it really depends on your goal, and what kind of website you try to create. If your goal is to simply publish as much readable stuff as possible, then all you can do is to try automating any of the steps on your list.

However, if you aim for quality content (and perhaps some long term project), the entire process may need more manual intervention on the contrary, or perhaps even dashing some tools for good. Think about it from this angle: More articles published doesn't necessarily mean more traffic in a long run...

DA is also not a great factor. It could work at scale, but looking at a single keyword, there can be a high-DA site ranking with a weak irrelevant article that you can outrank.

Well, let me clarify one thing. Difficulty score is not what you should always look for. Many keywords have less than 50 keyword difficulty and you still can't rank on them no matter how well you write.

Your selection of keywords should depend upon things like how many websites are there that have written these articles, How many e-commerce websites are ranking on the first page, how big and good the sites are that are ranking on 1st page? etc.

Another tip- Don't format your article according to the top search results. It doesn't even matter. Format the content according to what you think users will like.
