Hello BHW.I`m looking to make a website with videos on , but when someone clicks play i want it to display "Missing Plug-in" and a link.Can anyone please tell what is needed to make that?I`m not expecting to be spoon fed, but sincerely i don't know what to look for,i don't know what that is or how is called.If you can please atleast tell me what thats is, a player, a script ?I don't know where to start looking.Cheers!

Install javascript. That should help you.

I would start by searching for "fake missing plugin".. search engines are your friend

try using plugin and install javascript that should be fine...

Wow, some of you guys need to learn to read. He's asking how to have it DISPLAY "missing plugin" when OTHER PEOPLE CLICK PLAY ON HIS VIDEOS. ​He's not having that trouble himself!

Thats exactly what i need.As ive seen alot of this kind of website.But i don't know how to do it myself or even what to look for.

Reverse engineer
if somebody has that problem
you just need to reverse the cure
then you got the problem you want

I think i found my answer on another forum.Its a "pay per install script".In case anyone else is looking for this info and this thread gets indexed i will update it when i`l find one and succesfully install it.Thanks everyone!

That's not hard to do, just use RealPlayer

I kid, I kid, you can do this in JavaScript pretty easily; make a "video player" and a "missing plugin" image of the same resolution, switch the images with an "onClick" event.
