Can someone figure out this site's backlink plan?

I was recently doing some keyword research and I came across this microniche site (xfactor style) that was well ranked for its keyword among fairly strong sites, and I was curious to see if I could learn anything from it's backlinking strategy.

On further investigation, I noticed that it has a ton of backlinks from random generic blogs that are very simple and are autoblogs that scrape content. Each blog just has a ton of scraped articles and each article links to a different website. A few examples:

zhongguohong888 .com
retireeroadrunners .org
orangetech .info
jrkayembe .com

I'm sure you get the picture. I was wondering if anyone knew how this was done or what sort of tools that are being used here. I'm not very familiar with any of the "expensive" tools like SENuke, Xrumer, etc, so I wouldn't be able to recognize it.

My best guess is that these domains are expired domains that are bought for their existing backlink/PR power and then turned into autoblogs purely for backlinking. Does anyone have any guesses/insight into how this process is managed (because of the large number of sites I'm assuming it's all centrally controlled somewhere).

It looks really cool and extensive, but also quite expensive to start up. However, I can see how it can be invaluable to have a large blog farm at your disposal.

Anyways, I'd really appreciate any insight that you guys might have into this system/scheme.

I am no expert by any means at all. But there are some gigs right here that do linkpushing with similar networks. Also there are some gigs on fivver that do some article spinning and post to a few blogs which I suppose you can rinse and repeat. Also then you can hit those sites with backlinks as most here say dont do it to your main site.

Befriend them and/or become a client. Get really "cushy". Buy a couple of batteries. Tell them funny jokes over the phone. Pretend you're a roofer. Then tell them you just got your website online and you heard something about "seo". Find out their source. Get a quote from their source. Speak with a rep from their source over the phone. Have the rep explain "backlnks" because you're a "roofer". Sell the rep that you're about to sign up but you need more information about how specifically they get their backlinks because you e done "little research" on this thing call "seo". Pretend to be sold but hold back just a bit until they feed you the information you need.

Hahaha I think I will try this--The non-internet approach to internet marketing. Any guess as to how it's done or maybe you already know?
