Can someone explain why people do this, am i missing something?

Maybe i'm just over-analyzing everything i see on Facebook, but is there some particular reason people upload the same photo comments over and over again. The same ones you always see as top comments. I doubt these are always just liked to the top, seems more likely someone is botting them there, but I don't understand the benefit of it. They're not sharing them from a fan page or anything. Maybe for friend requests?

It all depends on where do you see it.If it is only a photo from the person,than add/follow.I do push my posts also up on the comments on pages as much as i can.But that one is for them to see my page..
