Can someone explain me the Yahoo Contributor Network

All I know that it was called Associated Content up till middle 2011 and that you could sell content there, so, Yahoo bought them and apparently they changed. Can someone explain it to me because I'm confused, I watched some youtube videos and found some sites that say you can make money off of it but I'm still lost.

To me it seems pretty much the same as before. You can still get paid upfront for every article and also get paid for every 1500 views each one of your articles receive. I heard they are a little more strict when reviewing the articles. I still use them sometimes for extra money. I spend about 20 minutes writing and average about $3-4 per article I submit.

Basically you'll write articles on topics of their choosing and they'll pay you $3 - $5 per article or you can just accept payment for the amount of views your article receives which I believe is somewhere between $2 - $4 per 1,000 - 2,000 views. You won't make a lot of money with the Yahoo Contributor Network but it's a good method if you're just needing start up money.

I know a site where i can send 1000 page views an hour......lets say i send 10000 views and write 10 articles thats $100/day

So they give you a topic and tell you to write it or do they have a list of topics from which you can chose?
They pay through PayPal, right?

Its very difficult to make an income on this site or similar sites. In general, being a contributor on the internet, anywhere, from Forbes to Huffington Post or anything, you'll make next to diddly squat.

The biggest media sites in the world are now expecting "free" content or pay absolute pittance.

Unless your an actual staffer on one of these sites and work in their head office as a real employee paying tax and on their HR payroll, you won't make money this way.

If it's bad traffic which doesn't convert for example bot views then I'd imagine you'll be banned before payout. Not that I've ever used yahoo contributor network, but that is how it usually works with every company.
