There are many smart phone apps available that you can cycle through multiple phone numbers in multiple locations (city area code for example)

can you explain little better? because all the text fee apps dont work for me.

What site are you trying to penetrate? Have you actually tried ALL of the text/call apps out there?

facebook mostly and yes that I know off are they using a paid software?

I have sim cards you stick in your phone (US) and register. Use them for 15 days for $15, they are a real phone number, so register what ever you want. Just switch back to your normal carrier when you want to.

wondering that myself, tested a few iphone apps and none seemed to work.
there are people selling numbers for as low as $1 for a number to verify your fb account, either they're selling them multiple times( not sure if that's possible) or they're doing something else cause they can't really buy them for $15 and sell them for $1
