I am looking to buy a expired domain and use its backlink juice to rank for local Seo services.

Lets use http://www.bootstrap-wp.com. Its a Juicy domain that is currently up for auction. I am personally not going to buy it and I apologize to anyone who was planning on buying it. But I think its an important discussion to have.

Would this be possible and how? I am asking these question because I think this could be used in many different scenarios.

Lets say this website you would like to repurpose as a SEO Marketing Company. Like a local SEO service for hire webpage. Given that the keywords are for a Template website.

1. This domain was for "template" keywords. If you would like to rank for "SEO Boston". Will the power of the link juice help with "Seo Boston" Keywords? for the record I do not intend to rank for SEO Boston, strictly research purposes

2. due to the strength of the domain and high amount backlinks pointing towards the main page.
a. how much will this help for a different keyword ranking?
b. Will the link juice speed up the time needed to rank(sandbox Time) for "Seo Boston" or because its a fresh keyword would it be the same as if you were to rank with a newly registered domain.

Lets have a discussion here. So feel free to fire away. Please let me know if I am on the right path or if I am totally off and am focusing on the wrong things.

There's nothing much to discuss.

1. Possibly yes. Focus on "niche", rather than "keywords". Keywords are just too narrow. The niche relation between WP themes and SEO is not ideal as a whole. One is "computers", the other is "marketing". The niches aren't completely off, so it might help you rank better still.

However, the further you stray from niche relevancy, the higher the chance that the domain will not work as intended.

So just add your articles, do some extra linkbuilding with exact/partial anchors here and there and shift the overall onsite relevancy to SEO.

2a - As mentioned above, it depends on many factors. Some of which are beyond our comprehension. It might rank much better and much faster or it might never rank properly. Throwing shit against the wall and hoping something sticks.

2b - This question is an absolute mix of random terminology that doesn't even make sense. What is link juice speed? There's no sandbox, you just rank faster and better than you would with a fresh domain.
