Can someone enlighten me with backlinks

Hello guys my website, is in top of google for quite long 3 month now over 50+ keywords, i have no idea how it got there..., but this week it started falling to 3-5 place, i cannot add anything new to the website because there is no place left to) I can change the old texts but i have no idea how that might effect, i wanted to have your opinions, and should i get backlinks from my niche? What are your ideas, How can i prevent this website going down? I am planning to take over this niche in a specific country over 5-10 websites with other designs and texts.

If it's WP, you can always add new posts and this will always be a place to add new content to the site. Yes, relevant links would be fine. Don't change your old text, add to it if you must mess with those pages.

Nope not wordpress, and its a live channel website with a lot of seo work, i could add new channels but idk i cannot understand what else can niche like this can have more...
