Can somebody clear up PPI vs PPD for me??

I have done some reading but I cant get to the bottom of the difference between PPI vs PPD. (this is all new territory to me)

So I have been reading that PPI involves being able to drive downloads to free apps and getting paid 2-3$ per free app that was downloaded.
If this is true, can social media be used for this? All I have been reading is methods regarding youtube and installing apps to their computers for payouts around $.30

Can somebody clear this up for me??

Also if these networks are paying 2-3$ per install of their free app directly to an ios smartphone and accept social traffic let me know, and I am open for a JV to make some serious money with somebody with PPI knowledge/experience.

its really basically the same thing. in ppi/ppd you get paid per action a person completes. a ppi action would be someone installing a software and you get paid once installation is complete. ppd you would get paid once someone downloads something. Rates differ with networks, niches and countries.

check out cpagrip.com and look at some of their offers to get familiar with the type of things you would be trying to get people to do

ppi - pay per install. Pay for download + install

ppd : pay per download. Pay for only download

PPD = Pay Per Download
PPI = Pay Per Install
You'll get paid by specific action
