I just saw on the google webmaster tool that two of my pages have few issues with their sitemap.
could this be a reason that these website doesn't get ranked in the top100 or indexed for that keywords?

or doesn't it matter so much?

If Google says that two of your pages is having issues then those two pages may not appear in the SERPs.

Sitemap for two pages? Could you elaborate? Do you have crawling or html errors?

It's only going to cause an issue with the pages that have a sitemap error. If WMT has a problem with a sitemap for a couple of syntax errors, its not going to put a hampering down on your entire site.
