Can Reddit ban specific words?

Reddit marketing has been working well for us, but we are hesitant to go all into it because of the fear that they might ban our company keyword.

Just wanted to know if this is possible and if any of you have experienced it?

P.S: We don't spam our name everywhere. We always include our competitors in the posts and give props to them and mention how we are different.

I think yes they can ban the word. Happened with me.
 
Brands / Website names, yes. Either fully censoring, or shadowbanning comments including them.
Much, much rarer for this to happen though when compared to banning links.
 
I would almost never recommend putting all your eggs into 1 basket. Especially if the chance of being blacklisted is a possibility. I'd continue to put more of your budget towards it, but not complete. I recommend always keeping your head on a swivel as things change up constantly in this fast pace environment as every day there's a better and more consistent method.
 
Yes, Reddit can shadowban or restrict certain keywords if flagged often, even without spam; staying balanced and community-friendly helps avoid this.
 
I’ve had entire domains shadowbanned, so words ain’t a stretch
 
until recently, they were banning luigi, and even violence words, i think they still flag it, but its up tot eh subreddits in some cases.
