I was told that browers like Chrome do in fact leak your information. Can Reddit admins really find this information out? Like I heard they know your IP address.

What other information do Reddit admins know? Can they tell which device are you browsing? LIke if I login to 2 accounts, using 2 different IPs (VPNs) can they find that out that they're from the same device?

Once you connect to a website, you send some informations. Most important for you are:
    • your IP address
    • your user-agent, this includes your browser and your operating system (like Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:49.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/49.0)
    • the site you are coming from (redirect)
    • your browser language
    • the cookies for the website
As they can set and access cookies for their website, you have to clear them everytime you visit the site with another VPN. Otherwise, they can just set something like userid=12345, and if you visit the site again without cleaning your cookies, they will be able to see that your userid is 12345, so they can tell you are the same user as before.
In fact, this together with a different IP address is the most important part to stay anonymous. user-agent is not really important as millions of people use the same browser with the same operating system and the same browser language.

Like Blacklistede said above, they get your IP and normal browser info.

But they also have their own algorithms to trace users. That said, it shouldn't be a problem as long as your account is not suspended. And even then, most of the time, it's a mod of any subreddit who have to flag you out.

So if one account gets banned, just changing the IP or clearing your browser is enough. But if mods sniff you out, it's pretty easy to get banned again. The reddit admins trust the mods, and they may ban new accounts on suspicion even if they don't have enough proof.

In a nutshell, you should be able to use mutiple account, preferable from several browsers, as long as you play your cards right.
