Can mod read PM?

I was suggested to do trade via PM.

The idea is if we scam one another mod can read PM and see what's written.

Is this true?

Firstly, if you are trading with anyone make sure they are an upgraded user (as standard users are not allowed to sell on blackhatworld).

Secondly, there is truth in the fact that it’s better to keep communications on the forum; whether that be in the marketplace or via PM. That way there is a record of any transactions or exchanges between buyer and seller.

As far as reading PMs are concerned, I believe it is possible for the in-house staff to do this but it is done on a discretionary basis only when required (for example if someone reports a rule break that took place via PM).
