For example, if you have a blog all around the same keywords. For example, all titles have the keywords "Tips, Guide, Life Hack" in it. Can this be bad for SEO as it can come off as duplicate content?

Also,

If you use a certain keyword multiple times in your posts. For example: Jewelry (jewels, gemstones, jewerly, etc)

I already edited most of my articles and changed the keywords that I used a lot to a synonym or misspell it on purpose. But I'm not sure if this is the right way.

The keywords that I used a lot - I saw I used them 12 times, 16 times, etc. So I assumed that was a lot and it seemed spammy.

But I guess I'm just getting paranoid.

What are your thoughts on this?

Hello, I am kind of new to blogging, however, I've never seen such thing, keyword density should not be the problem, perhaps your content will be published based on your niche and different posts will have to stick around the keywords you can rank for and that are relevant to your niche. With that said, there is possibility the same keyword might get used multiple times and that shouldn't ruin your SEO, apart from the readability score of the post and off page SEO being some of the major factors for ranking in GOOGLE SERP.

I would never use the exact match keyword more than its is necessary. Over use of the keywords can look spammy in Google eye. Instead use a different variation of the keywords in the article. You can also use LSI version of it.

Nowadays the focus should be on content quality rather than content relevance, stop thinking you are writing for the search engines and shift your attention to pleasing your readers, Google is refining its algorithm everyday to assess the quality of a website's content rather than the relevance (keyword density, etc), so if you focus too much on keywords it may hurt you more than it will actually help you.

Write your content for people, naturally and without so much focus on the SEO side as Google is no longer rewarding keyword relevance as much as it used to.

If you use the same keywords in multiple articles, you may run into something called keyword cannibalization.

As previously said, write for the readers not for search engines.

Good luck,

Keyword density has lost its importance now. We should avoid filling in a large number of keywords in the article. If the text content structure is good, then there is no need to worry about the keyword density.

You might run into some cannibalization issues (like https://www.blackhatworld.com/members/youtube1001.917648/ said). But as long as you are taking LSI, TF-IDF, and Multi-Word-Retrieval (among other things that our friendly bots use to determine the quality of 'ish) into account: you should be fine.

Research content modeling. Spin or structure the blogs accordingly. Then if you are using a spinner - use semantic phraseology (like you mentioned: Tips, Guide, Life Hack).

The above all have low volume, but high intent - so it's worth looking into.

The first point don't confuse google to choose the pages from the website for a resulting in a particular keyword. The second point don't push your keyword in all places of your content, make it look natural. Keyword density is one the google ranking, you should take care of your account while preparing the content. If you are not doing it it will be considered as spammy content.

If u want your article should be look natural ..then be careful when ur using the keywords .
Better use the keywords only in needed places .
Dont give chance to the google to take ur article as spam..Also, try using LSI keywords to diversifying the keywords in a good way!

@Queen Heidi is right - look into LSI, but also consider exact match at least once.

For instance: if I want comfortable skateshoes - that's my exact match (for a query, or keyword - or even broad match (don't do that though) vs. I want Nike SBs. I'mma search for Nike SB's (maybe SBs for skating). By doing this I draw in both persuadable groups without looking spammy.

In the end it's a matter of blending an exact match with semantic understanding to draw in persuadables (people who know what they want, but not who they want it from). You want the bot to think "this is a great, nonspam article/landing page by a valued contributor" not "why are they stuffing keywords and ideas" - so you have to find the balance.

tldtr: don't spam, but exact match is important, LSI/ETC matter - honestly, just write decent content dude.

P.S. "too many exact match keywords are spammy" - Google 2010ish

Optimizing every blog with same keyword will sometimes cause keyword cannibalization. Your every blog content should be unique and readable form, show some variations with your target keyword and add only suitable keywords and place them naturally. So every blog will gain some value, exposure and will help in overall site rank. At the same time, keyword density is also important. You can't simply edit and add keyword, it is more risky. If your content has gained trust, then it has less risk.

For 800-1000w articles, try to embed the kws not more than 3X.

What if you have to write about "insert keyword" multiple times? For example if you have a post about Fifa Coins. The title is FUT 20 Tips - Guide for Coins

Obviously you have to talk about the keyword "coins" a lot in the article. That's what I'm saying. Most of my articles I have this same exact layout. How would you go about doing this or would you simply ignore the many times you use the keyword "coins" in the post. So if you do CTRL F and search "coins" and you see that you used this word 16 times already in an article with 800 words, does this come across as bad content or spam?

Keyword density is important. If you use the same keyword too much, your content may be considered low quality, and may be shown lower in the SERPs than it would otherwise.

Over-optimization of content is one of the things that Panda looks for.

No-one except Google can tell you whether your content will trigger the over-optimization flag (it also supposedly differs depending on the keyword itself). A good guide as to the density you should use, look at the density of the top 3 articles currently ranking for that term.

But also bear in mind that a lot of what is mentioned above is also good advice. Use synonyms etc.

@phpbuilt wrote a lot of good content about avoiding Panda penalties back in the day. You could read some of his posts.

Keyword density ratio varies from search engine to search engine.
If you want your article looks natural your keyword density ratio should be in the range of 2-8%.
Use trending keywords to make user friendly.

In short, there is nothing in SEO without keywords for both on-page and offp-age.. even it will be applicable on 2030 too :D lol

just write for the visitors not fo google bots
and you should be ok
keyword density less then 5% per article would be good tho

it is one of the factors of SEO so we should consider this to get good results, it's quite important it should be 2-4%.
