Can Internet Marketting solve my problem?

Hello, I just signed up here, and by the looks of it, this seems to be a great community of extremely intelligent and active people. I have been working at a security firm for over 8 years, prior to that I worked in several store chains and warehouses, my security firm has been cutting off personal for the better part of 2010 and last month it was my turn, I've been fired with some benefits, but I won't receive them for at least another 3 - 4 months, I am a family man, my wife works in a store at minimum wage and I have 2 kids, our mortgage already expired and it is just a matter of time until we are evicted from our house. I have tried Internet Marketing before (while I was working), and I never managed to make any considerable amount of money, I tried making some fiverr gigs, and I was paid about $20 over the span of 2 months, I have also tried some share cash, by emailing all my list of friends with mostly albums and music related stuff, and the most I was managed to cash in was about $80 all time (this was over the span of last year), I also tried to put up a blog with some articles and content and placed a cpa lead gateway over it, and I made no more than $50 all time.

Obviously what I made before was for the sake of experimenting, and I think I could maximize my earnings with one of those services (although I have no idea how), here is my dilemma, I desperately need about $500 until the end of this month, or at the most until 10th of March (that's when I'm expected to be evicted from my house).

Does anyone here has any idea how could I make such money within 2 - 3 weeks on here (regardless of time consumed)

Probably you will not make that money this month... If you are serious about making money do some freelancing... Learn seo, article writing, design... What ever you prefer... Offer you services on IM forums... When you start to make some money this way then invest in making some passive income..

Two to three weeks is a very short window. Especially if you don't have any real solid SEO or IM "chops" or experience. I'd normally say stick to what you know and try to monetize that, so what did you do at this "security firm"?

Are we talking software or hardware? Did you do sales or installation? What could you offer a business with this background and experience? Could you pick up the phone and call 50 different businesses in your area and pitch them something?

You could have a website, a youtube video, some business cards, and your basic printed marketing materials all thrown together in just a couple of days if you really worked at it. You're not talking totally free but you're looking at less than $50 (even half that amount) to go from bang to bullets. Then you're your own security consulting business. You don't have to be the best, you simply have to know more than the person or business that you're selling to.

Then just sell what you know. Don't try to reinvent yourself AND profit in three weeks - that's way too lofty a goal. It takes a long time to get good at anything and you've already got 8 years of security experience under your belt. So market that.

I'm indeed serious about making money, when you say I'm probably not going to make the money this month, what are your basing your argument in, your assessment that I will not work as many hours a day as needed (which I certainly will), or simply because there is no way I can know what I need to know in order to start making some money?

I have two questions, the first is:

First question - from everything I read, both in here and other IM forums, everyone keeps on saying how it is relatively easy to make considerable amounts of money with CPA, that you only need traffic in the order of 1000+ visitors per day. (I can setup a site, promote content, both warez and non warez), I think my only problem with CPA methods is lacking the knowledge to get traffic, I keep reading that the best sources of traffic for CPA (for warez content at least) is both YouTube and Facebook, but I lack the specifics, how exactly do I get traffic from those YouTube and Facebook to my sites, this is my main doubt here, so my question is, if I can get a steady 1000-2000 daily unique visitors to my site, could I make $500 a month with CPA? (and exactly how would I get that traffic?)

Second question - concerning freelancing, I'm not that much familiar with it, as I said I tried some fiveer before, and I had 4 gigs over the span of 2 months, are there other freelancing services with higher demand out there, and what exactly should I offer as freelancing services, you mentioned article writing, how exactly does this work and how can I get paid for each article, on average?

Write 20 high-quality articles for Demand Studios. They pay $25/article (20 * 25 = $500) and pay out like twice a week I think. I used to write for them when I needed cash fast and they are an easy way to make large amounts of money on short notice

if you need money urgently to keep the house i would forget about IM completely, get any real job you can get for now

in this business you are at the mercy of google, you could be making three hundred dollars every month from some sites and then one day google doesnt like it anymore and your income is gone
