Hi guys,
first of all, sorry for my bad English, and sorry if i chosed a wrong section for open this Thread.

I'm an italian 29 years old guy, graded in "information tecnology": the situation here about work is very bad, find a lifetime work contract is impossible, what you can have it's only contract of 2-3 years, then you're again "on the street" and forced to search again. With this kind of life it's pretty impossible think about your life in long terms: create your family, buy your car, your home, etc, cause today you've your work, but tomorrow? And you can't risk to have a family and the day after lose your work.

I'm doing IM from like 6 months, and after a lot of tests and work i've now a passive of 5$/day, aiming to reach 50-60$/day that's a standard salary here, and i'm thinking: "it's possible to do IM as full-time work and be your income same as a "real life" work?"
I did 5 different kind of works, and (can be sound stupid) IM seems to be more stable of what i did in the past...

"Veterans" of IM, what it's your opinion about that? Some of you have a "normal" life doing, as job, IM?
Regards

I am in 2nd semster of Information Technology and tbh thinking about dropping out. The job space situation is same here and even if I get a job I won't be earning more then $500/month.

Invest your time in IM. It will pay back huge/ ATM IM is my main job and I consider it as a real work.

See? You have the mentality your country has, same as here in Spain, people just know how to be depressed and how to blame everybody around because of their bad times. It is up to you and not up to your country to find a job, be smart and hustle.

About IM, just check the amount of BILLIONS that get moved every month, don't you want a piece of that? Well, get to work and get your A game and you'll be able to make a living out of it, and a lot more if you really want...

Yeah i know your feel, same as here, my last work was to a PC Tecn Center (repair and setup PC, Servers, LAN, etc), 10h/day of work for 300€ (that's around 400$). I'm thinking too about be focussed on IM, thanks for your opinion :)

I know that this can sound "depressive" but, trust me, i'm not a "stupid guy" (got good results on school, and i worked for 6 months at ENEA, that's the italian research center for alternative energy) and each jobs it's only a countdown for your next job. It's very stressfull live your life with the fear to don't find your next job.

Thanks for your opinion aswell, i know that these days IM is a money machine, but this can be considered as a long terms "gold mine"?

It is possible but I wouldn't quite your day job right away. Work your way up until your ready to take the leap. The secret is to treat your IM like a real business and understand that you will have to work long hours at least initially. Trust me though it is worth it. I know average people, not Gurus who make $200 a day doing maybe a couple of hours work. Good luck.

It's definitely possible to make a living from IM, plenty of people here do it. The problem is IM work can be rather unstable. You could be making $1000 a day with a very good authority site but a single unfortunate google update or potent neg SEO attack could leave you earning next to nothing. You should only ever make the leap into making IM your full job when you're already earning enough to live on and have enough money saved to last you 6 months at your current lifestyle.

Quit when you make the equivalent of your current job and when that income is secure. I did IM throughout school and university and I graduated with a first class degree - which is my head, is now irreverent.

Yeah i always stay away from the "1000$/day only 2 hours of work", i'm doing one method found here with good feedbacks, with a lot of work and my idea and modifications it's working and giving me a good growing passive. Good luck you too man.

This is a good advice, have a solid "safe money" if something will drop will cover the time needed for switch method... Will apply that for syre! Thanks.
The problem is that now i'm without work so i think i will focus on IM, doing first a good passive then bank enough money to live for 6 months or more without IM in case of problems.

Same as previous comment: i'm without job now :D

Mate I'm italian to and I know that the situation here it's bad but for only one reason, people think to work NOW and earn 3000 € a month NOW. So, I'm in the IM world and I'm making money only because I'm studying this world every day and I'm trying new things to make it work. I started with zero earnings and with two months before to learn, to invest in my knowledge in the IM world and get my first earnings.

In any case the safest and longest term work it's create a good company that allows you to get stable income from stable customers.

Hi mate, i know what you mean but i never had the arrogance to earn 3.000€ at month with my first work. I did works since 14y olds, and now that i've enough knowledge for enjoy a "big work" (like programmer in various society or energy research) there is the problem that i was talking before: short terms contracts...
But if you was talking about earnings in IM, i know how hard it is, and i'm doing a method since October and only in the first of January i saw my first earnings, so i know how much time and work you must invest before see something.

Btw, it's possible to add you on Skype? Would be nice to have an italian friend that is in IM aswell.

2 years now not holding a "real job" and going strong. Also, 1k a day with 2 hours of work is 100% possible, just so you know =)

Edit: I got way too into the post lol posted way too long of a reply. TLDR: Yes, put in the work!

To be short - Yes.

It is possible for you to work online and make a living at it. Especially where you're located. Find your passion and your niche, and dominate it. Since you seem new here, I highly recommend reading the archives. Work on your skills. What can you offer? Then do.

Create. Test. Learn. Implement. Optimize. Test again. Repeat.

Here's the thing - I'm based in the US. My cost of living is $5000 a month, solely in fixed expenses. If $1800 a month is the average salary in Italy, leverage what you know (or will soon learn) about internet marketing and tap into large (or up and coming) markets to dominate. Think globally.

The days of loyalty to a 'single employer' for life are now a thing of the past. Here in America - and with the current rise of multinational corporations - the rest of the world will experience 'at will employment'. This means that you cannot put your faith into one company and expect to work 40 years, and have a cushy retirement. Bouncing from job to job is how you 'climb the ladder' now.

Yes, some of you more knowledgeable about the US may mention governmental careers - in a bureaucracy things move abysmally slow due to the red tape. But mark my words, automation will not look past a cushy governmental job as a way to reduce expenses.

Never stop learning. Learn, implement, test, optimize... repeat.

Im 18 and 4 months ago I didnt know how i would support myself (was making no money and had no job) and was not sure if i was going to college or not.

You will benefit a lot from this and possibly won't need to look for a job.
Just do it! All questions after. Good luck!
