Hello friends,

Can I use the same description tag for some of my other similar sites. If no please let me know the reason?

Please give your valuable suggestion's...

I would not recommend to use exactly same description, if sites are slightly different the modify the description to fit the specific page, other wise google will use the text from your page as the description for the specific page, and will ignore your description.

Using same description tag for other similar sites would not be good decision. As these tags to be keywords that are used for website promotion. Suppose, you use these tags for promotion of all sites in this condition it is not possible that your all sites come on number 3 position for same keyword, only one site come at this position. So, using similar tags for similar website would be good idea.

Description tags should be unique and related to your web page... In case you are using same description, you will get duplicate description tag error in Google Webmaster tools.

Moreover, Google will pick up a relevant snippet from the web page and display it as description for your page.

No, It is not recommended to use same description tags - it may result in duplication.
