Can I use Scrapebox Whois addon without socks proxies?

Did you solve this? I'm trying to set up my private supposedly socks enabled proxies for whois addon on SB and not having any joy even connecting when I specify them as socks proxies by adding S to the beginning of the IP - is there something I'm missing? They connect OK when specified as http proxies (ie without S at beginning). Any help would be much appreciated.

I have tried to get this addon to work over the years and even emailed their support and still no luck. I noticed they had a newer version of the addon so I loaded in 15 and ran it without any proxies at all and it only gave me the data for 1 domain. I ran manual whois on a couple and there definitely is data there. I wish I could figure this thing out. Any luck since you posted this?

I was able to get it working by using socks proxies. Hope this works for you too.
