http://www.google.com/places/ When you go there, you see the right image of that girl with the Google Places symbol. Do you think Google would sue me and hire an German lawyer, because I use that on my website?
hmm the question is if it is some trademark etc, it is so simple symbol that i think not, also probably gg could even encourage ppl to use it b/c it also promotes this service you can ask on their support forum to have clear anwser
yes ask them and be sure to get no answer. But it is google. don't give them anything that they may use against you.
Using images from other websites can be a bit risky. I do it all the time though. Just be sure you link out and give credit to where the image is from. At the bottom of the page, put something like this... [Image] ...and hyperlink the word "Image" the source of the image.
Exactly! It promotes their service. ( Unless Google AdWords ) But in the opposite, they have disallowed right-click-saving the picture. So, they either did that in purpose, or just because they use it always. Will come back with the answer from support team.
I have found this. Google TOS: (http://www.google.com/accounts/TOS) I mean, we don't go with the Google TOS as of Black Hat SEO either But waiting for an answer of one employee first. I guess in the end I have to send them an e-mail to ask specially for i. Who really thinks that in that case you get an answer
