As the title, I was thinking of setting up a FB page where I would basically list whats hot on Amazon in a certain category. Deals of the day for example etc.. and would use my affiliate link in the post somewhere, masked with goo.gl or something similar.

Is this allowed?

Amazon Affiliates must own their own unique-content rich websites to apply.
Since they evaluate your site by person and not robot.

You could do that as a fanpage of your website AFTER you get one up and running.

You could give Blogger or Wordpress a try, buy a domain at Godaddy or Namecheap(your own domain name just shows Amazon you're not spam) and post content relevant to your niche. Make it functional and look nice, then Amazon will easily accept you.

I actually have servers and own several amazon affiliate sites already, I was just wondering if i could use my fan page to link directly to Amazon, but it seems that is not allowed, and that I will have to link directly to my site before any sort of redirection to amazon.

thanks for clearing git up though

No problem, I was under the impression you didn't own a website already.

It appears you can safely share affiliate links on Facebook, pretty much all social media since you're already approved. Give it a try my friend!

Yes mate you can do this, Its a very easy way to promote products.

Ahh so I can do this? Now I am confused.

Im already approved and have a few sites selling items. All im wondering is if I can post directly on my FB page with the affiliate links.

I do not want to risk getting banned...

Amazon associates program change rules and they stated that you can send affiliates from sites owned and/or operated by you. This means that you're not allowed to use 3rd party web sites (Pinterest, facebook...) BUT, I am using facebook and my account is not banned, so, do as you wish

I also use 3rd party sites for about a year, and Amazon haven't banned me either.

If its not allowed then why when you go to Amazon does it have a strip at the top that allows you to promote that item on Facebook with your affiliate link intact, i have used it a few times with no problems, just dont over use it i say...

I am wondering the same thing, and i'm in the same boat. Have an amazon account for a while, make sales through my sites, just want to use FB to sell items directly. I hear both that its allowed and not allowed. I've read Amazon only allows sales through a personally owned site, yet i hear others say its allowed to share your affiliate products on other sites such as Facebook pages. Guess it will just be a trial and error thing, i think it will be worth a try.

Interesting its not that clear obviously... But good point about them having a share button on the top menu bar! Would make me think its absolutely fine...

I was just thinking the same thing. I have not promoted Amazon in a while, so I signed into my account and checked. The Facebook/Twitter share button is still there (to share your affiliate link), so I am assuming they would not put that there if it was not allowed.
