Hello,

I have a MSDN account and can generate Microsoft Genuine Product Keys for all versions of Windows, Office and Microsoft Apps.

I just want to know, can i sell these keys on Ebay. Is it legal?

Where can i sell these keys?

Any help will be appreciated

Thanking you

I have an MSDN account through my college too.. but As far as I know I don't think you can sell it.. you are not allowed to use it outside the place you are supposed to.. in my case my college.. Read the TOS.. there is something in it regarding this..

you can try to sell them without saying they are MSDN keys but these keys are derived from a different series than the normal keys so some might know...

I tried selling a key and sold one perfectly. I then again created a listing and this time i created 2 listings, one for Office Pro 2007 and other for Office Ultimate 2007. I kept it for 3 days and after a day i get this email from ebay:

[FONT=Arial, Verdana]You recently listed the following listing:

260519904131 - MIcrosoft Office Professional 2007 Genuine Product Key
260519907443 - MIcrosoft Office Ultimate 2007 Genuine Product Key

The listing was removed because it violated eBay policy.

Now what should i do, there are others selling the keys on ebay and have no problems. I earned $20 from my first sale and now that income has gone.

Any suggestions where can i sell the key??

Thanking you

Ebay vero violation- Micosoft are possibly the most difficult of any brand to get around on ebay but it is possible with some trial and error.

Question about using the "genuine" keys. Apparently it is possible to easily check if a version of windows installed on your computer is fake. Once a genuine key is used to turn a genuine trial version of windows to the full version, how easy would it be to see where the key came from and if it is a legal key?
I ask this because I would like to buy some and sell them on with the promise of turning people's fake windows into genuine, legal versions for cheaper than buying the whole packages.
If anyone knows about this i'd be very grateful for any advice

hey,

Please don't do that. it is big time copyrighting & crime
If you do that you will deal with the FTC & FBI
believe me !!!

The keys do work. I had sold 2 keys on other forum, and this is what the buyer reviewed:

I upgrade office 2003 to 2007 and the key I bought worked fine. Actived as it should as well.

Haven't tried the win 7 key yet as my pc died. will do when I get new mb installed.

cheers

Yes, it turns pirated versions of windows to genuine ones. But, my question is, where can i sell them since now Ebay is not an option for me.

Thanking you

Big time copyrighting, FTC, FBI- major crime! Get a grip- the very worst that would happen is the reseller would lose his MSDN license and get his Ebay account closed. It would have to be done on a huge scale with repeated warnings before the FBI were slightly interested, and since the keys are generated by a licensed reseller it is most likely only a civil matter.

Civil matter is a long and costly procedure too if you live in the US. Have fun for 20 bucks..You end up bankrupting yourself (worst case scenario)

Read TOS first and I think you couldn't sell it becuse only microsoft who has authority to sell...

In USA maybe, even then I doubt Microsoft would bother with it. The amount of bootleg MS software which is produced in China and shipped to USA everyday is likely much higher up their list.

I have a ton of MSDN accounts and was wondering the same thing. Would people get in trouble for selling these keys?
