Can I remove non performing articles from time to time?

Do you plan to rank on those pages?
Do you have a chance to rank on those pages even if you plan to do so?
Do these pages have internal links pointing to them?
Do these pages have links to other of your important pages?

If so, go rewrite them.

Otherwise, it would be a huge waste of time.

Low-quality pages dilute the power of the other pages that you want to rank for.

Even if the quality is decent on these pages but you have no internal link to them, are orphan pages, or they have low relevance to your niche, they'll still dilute the power.

People that say to simply rewrite them... don't trust them.

I would suggest don't remove it,

Rewrite them with high-quality content.

Yeah, you can change nonperforming articles also you will add articles so you can make it better from time to time.

Instead of removing, reborn is better option. Add some more content and relevant information and try to rank them again.

I keep the pages which make sense and could be for visitors even if they get 0 searches.
1. Those pages might have idea nobody bothered to come up with.
2. Use those pages for interlinking to make your main pages stronger.

Hello, I created website 6 years ago and I did not know something about SEO and I created 200-300 worst article.

At this moment I have 2000 visitors per day, but only from new articles which I created in last 3 years.

Can I remove non performing articles from time to time?

If article is so bad, with 200 words, with no SEO configuration, with 0 traffic - Should I remove It from website ?

How can I start this process ?
I know a friend who benefitted from doing this on his blog. You can try removing some posts and see the result.
