Yes, you can, in fact you can earn a lot of money. You will need to pick a great keyword, blast zillions of 2.0 and forget about Google Ads...

Problem with web 2.0s though, they are all different, so you need to manage you learning on many different platforms, and remember how to do what.
Other types of links well also help you rank better.

Nope they may do some boost if very easy keywords but I highly doubt, so use more links to rank your site
