Can I rank in google with automated content?

Hi,

im building a german website containing funny pics/funny videos.

The content generation is automated via ifttt.com means ifttt gets content form tumblr and posts it to my wordpress blog once per hour.

From my wordpress blog the content is distributed to facebook pages, twitter, tumblr blogs, reddit and google plus pages automatically.

So the wordpress blog consistently gets a lot of social media backlinks and some real social signals like reweets, google plus, reblogs etc. as well as some trageted social media traffic.

Im targeting a german keyword with low competion.

Questions:

1) Do you think the above scenario can get a first page ranking in google on a low competion keyword?

2) Do i have to expect any copyright issues?

can i somehow avoid getting into trouble with copyright issues?

i m just using funny pics and videos which are all around the net anyway.

i have whois guard activated on my domain.

I am planing the same strategy as you, build a LOL site full of funny pics and drive traffic to it.

As far as i know, there are plenty such site using LOL pics all around the web, and you will not get some issues, at least, very rare rate to get into trouble, if so, how 9gig or ***** or 4gifs site not got closed?

But this is just my opinion, and i think using adsense on it is okay but a little risky, except you have a very large site with tons fans, google wont punish you.
