Can I post this on my IG?

I am running a niched Hip-Hop blog for my city in Boston. Since we dont have that many Hip-Hop acts that have made it big, but have a hoard of sports teams, and entertainment outside of HipHip. Would it be okay if i also posted models, basketball, general culture, ect... to my page along with local hiphop if my website only contained hiphop music? I find I can grow my IG and build traffic alot easier this way.

Yes, it will grow. But the followers wont be targeted.
I can easily grow my fitness IG by posting sexy fitness models. But those followers will be worthless.
If you know what I mean..

Sometimes it's better to stick to your niche really. I agree with the post above, my friend used to attract new followers to his IG devoted to cars with posts of chicks and that stuff. The audience grew but mostly because people were interested in chicks, not in cars.

The answer is no, that's not a good idea. You don't want to stray away from your niche. Don't go off the beaten path and start posting images from different niches. You'll confuse your current audience (probably losing some of them who came for your niche) and you won't gain targeted followers in return. It's a lose lose.
